This aim of this project was the create branding for a teen improv troupe called Impulse. As this was Impulse’s 16th year, the theme was called “Sweet 16”. Naturally we went with a birthday party theme. 🎂

Along with creating branding, I also planned, directed and photographed the troupe for a few images to use in advertisements.

First things first: The Mood Board. I went for a bright, colorful theme with hot pink being the main color. The troupe calls this color “Impulse Pink” so it was important to include it.

Here’s the sketch of what I envisioned the photography looking like, versus one of the photos I shot. Pretty close!

And finally, I completed the main artwork for a poster and a postcard, with plenty of confetti, frosting drips, and all the info about the show:

And because I shot so many photos, I was able to create display ads that were gifs:

A really fun project, though the cake fight was very, very messy! 🎂
